FLOOR HEATING RANGE

UNDER TILE HEATING:
Under tile heating is covered with a thin fibreglass mat and this is then covered with a thin layer of screed to bond to the floor surface. The thin application will not alter your floor levels and will be prepared for the tiler as a smooth floor surface. A floor surface area of approximately 60% will be covered to prevent any dead spot areas. We comply with SANS wiring code 1042- 1:2006. All cables in bathrooms and wet rooms are covered with metallic sheath. (Screened cable)
These bathroom areas will normally get maximum floor coverage to prevent any cold spots.

UNDER CARPET HEATING:
The under carpet heating is installed on top of the under felt and is suitable for wall to wall carpeting and loose carpets/mats/rugs. These heaters are economical to run.

UNDER LAMINATE HEATERS:
Under laminate heaters have been designed especially for quick and easy installation for laminate floors or wooden floors. These heaters must be installed with a floor sensor thermostat as the manufacturers of laminate flooring advise that the floor heating UNDER the laminate/wood flooring must be limited to a maximum of 27 Degrees Celsius.

CUT-IN UNDER FLOOR HEATING:
This form of heating has been designed to be contractor friendly. When cut into the floor, it is covered with a thin layer of screed to protect the heaters. It can also be used for wooden floors and carpeted areas.

IN SCREED HEATING:
In screed heating will work best for screed/earthcote type floors. This system can also be used on tiled, wooden or carpeted floors, however it is not as efficient as alternative examples.

We also have a wide variety of pre-printed, interior decorative films (at a fraction of the cost of the equivalent, Venetian glass panels/designs) and we can do precision cutting for logo’s, patterns etc. We also have interior decorative films in different translucent colours etc.
Our Solar control films filter out heat - as much as 79% (window tinted), or 58% (clear film) without spoiling the view or making the windows darker, while also filtering 99% of UV rays (protecting furniture/floors/curtains & carpets). Llumar has very unique films (Spectra Select & Low-E) that attribute to energy saving in very unique ways. In terms of thermal efficiency, you will find that most of the window films have a “U” value of 0.9, while the special “Low E” films have “U” values of 0.76 and 0.8 (35% improvement in comparison to normal glass).
Various installations that have been done also solved “cooling/air-conditioning imbalances, where the one side of the building was cold while the other side was still very hot, although the air-conditioning system was running at maximum output.
